South Central, Los Angeles–Two people were killed and one other person was injured, after suspects ran a red light during a police pursuit in South Central around 4:00 a.m this past Friday morning.
Janisha Harris and Jamarae Keyes were in a black BMW at the intersection of Manchester and Broadway, when they were T-boned by a Cadillac that was moving at a high speed attempting to evade police.
The BMW spun out of control and crashed into a semi-truck and a white car that were also stopped at the red light.
“Our beloved Janisha, a mother, daughter, sister, auntie, cousin and friend lost her life in a terrible car accident. This was sudden and totally unexpected. The mother of Keyes says he leaves behind four children and he was her only child, who also recently lost his father.
She saw Keyes that night prior to the crash, unaware it would be the last time she would ever see her son alive.
My Husband Jamarae L. Keyes was tragically killed on 8/19/2022 early Friday morning by another driver who was being pursued by LAPD in a high speed pursuit. He leaves behind our 15 year old son who is now fatherless. As a widow with a teenager life expenses are going to accumulate in our Son’s future. As he continues his journey in life without a Father.
