The 27th annual Spirit & Place Festival will take place Nov. 3-13. The 11-day festival will consist of in-person, hybrid and virtual events focused on this year’s theme of identify.
This year there are 29 events that will range from dance performances, art exhibitions, panel conversations, lectures and community gatherings.
Each event will explore the way people express themselves while also highlighting their individuality. “How we view ourselves and others is such a key aspect of our daily lives and our interactions within our communities,” Pam Blevins Hinkle, Spirit & Place director, said in a press release.
“We hope the festival will allow the community to identify core and foundational aspects of how they identify with themselves and others and that attendees are able to connect through their differences in identification.”
Spirit & Place Festival is known for bringing together people, creatives and organizations across the city. This year, events that exemplify important elements of the Spirit & Place Festival were nominated for the “Award of Awesomeness,” and during the conclusion of the festival the winner will be announced and rewarded with $1,000.
