The business was opened by Aaron’s father and they have served over 4 million of their signature African-American styled tacos for generations.
Taco Pete is the oldest Black-owned taco spot in Los Angeles.
They are a family of original cooks, and one of the only families to maintain a recipe for 33 years and four generations.

The Original Taco Pete’s staple location is 12007 S Central Ave, a historic Black L.A district nestled near Watts and Compton.
They have remained committed to providing the same taste for over 50 years of taco making and are currently expanding to all local L.A. areas

Taco Pete serves burritos, tacos, burgers as well as sandwiches.
Some of their signature items include beef, chicken, turkey and shrimp tacos. Their Chico Burrito, Nunu fries and Chatty Burger are also customer favorites.
