SPORTS HISTORY IN BLACK: Baseball pitcher Edwin Jackson sets record

Making it to baseball’s major leagues is an accomplishment. Pitcher Edwin Jackson made it there when he was 20 on Sept. 9, 2003. From there, he navigated an odyssey, bouncing around the leagues and playing for multiple teams.

Jackson would set a Major League Baseball record when he joined the Toronto Blue Jays. On May 15, 2019. when he took the mound, Jackson would become the first Major League Baseball player to play for 14 different teams. In that game, he would earn a “no decision” in Toronto’s 4-3 loss to the San Francisco Giants.
