Spiritual Outlook: Speak life

“Words kill, words give life; they are either poison or fruit — you choose.” -Proverbs 18:21

“As a tree gives fruit, healing words give life. But dishonest words crush the spirit.” -Proverbs 15:4

“A word out of your mouth may seem of no account, but it can accomplish anything—or destroy it! It only takes a spark, remember, to set off a forest fire. A careless or wrongly placed word out of your mouth can do that. By our speech we can ruin the world, turn harmony to chaos.” -James 3:5-6

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt you.

A familiar phrase we have known and heard; I have found it not to be true.

The right word at the right time is like a custom-made piece of jewelry,

Speaking life and light, making it the perfect accessory.

After all is said and done,

We hold the power of life and death in our own tongue.

Did you know that humans can speak up to 16,000 words per day?

Do you know how the power of the words can impact our day?

Words can refresh our spirit like fresh water overflowing from a well.

Words can also confine us, building ourselves into a cell.

Words kill, words give life; they are either poison or fruit — you choose them.

Your world is affected by the words and how you use them.

Words give hope and words can heal.

Words reflect what our inner spirit wants to reveal.

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt you.

A familiar phrase we have known and heard; I have found it not to be true.

After all is said and done,

We hold the power of life and death in our own tongue.

Your voice can speak words of poison that can kill or words that can heal.

The choice is up to you and the decision is your will.

Speak life.

That’s it; that is the message.

Speak life.

Speak light.

Speaking life to seek life,
