Cincinnati officials and development officials were present for a July 22 groundbreaking ceremony for a planned disabled and senior development to be known as Fosset Village at 3584 Alaska Avenue, 45229.
Titan Real Estate Group is partnering with Avondale Development Corporation as co-developer and the City of Cincinnati as a funding source to develop a vacant lot in Avondale. The new development will include 18 detached single-family houses along a new public street that will connect Alaska and Harvey. The houses will consist of three- and four-bedroom homes with brick or stone on the front of the first floor. There will be a mixture of two-story and ranch-style homes.
Thanks to funding provided by Children’s Hospital, Titan and ADC plan to build five affordable, accessible ranch homes that will be sold only to families with a disabled individual in the household. Projected house sales are between $225,000 and $300,000.
The goal of the development is to increase home ownership in an area that hovers around 17% and to bring new residents to Avondale, as well as make this development a viable option for past and current residents.
This project will be the first subdivision built in Avondale in decades.

The Avondale Development Corporation was established in 2011 to help improve quality of life for residents of Avondale, the largest African American neighborhood in Cincinnati.
