JUST Community to host networking event for female entrepreneurs of color

Special to The Dallas Examiner

Female Entrepreneur Networking Event, hosted by JUST Community, will be held Aug. 31 from 10 am. to noon and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Wesley Rankin’s Youth Center, located at 3326 N. Winnetka Ave.

JUST, nonprofit and trust-based lender, issues loans to women that are based on trust through a strong peer support network in our community of clients – not on credit scores or collateral. Since 2016, JUST has lent over $11 million, with a 99.3% repayment rate.

With the support of Wells Fargo, the unique networking event is designed to connect with hundreds of female entrepreneurs of color in Dallas – such as women like Shandricka Davis, owner of Jazzy Chica boutique and a local JUST client, who took her business from side hustle to full time. The event is an opportunity to connect with its inspiring entrepreneurial community and invite them to start a journey with them that includes capital and peer support.  Most notably, JUST will launch its flagship leadership program, a five-week program where women build community together and create space to invest in themselves and their dreams and goals.

The event will include interactive workshops, a Q&A with current JUST clients and staff, along with an opportunity to network with peers. Attendees will be able to sign with JUST immediately and begin to make traction toward their goals.
“Wells Fargo believes in equitable lending opportunities and values the important work organizations like JUST do to provide to the communities they serve. Their track record along with the operating model make them an amazing complimentary partner for us as we invest in the Dallas community,” said Tyler Smith, social impact and sustainability leader
