CHICAGO, IL – Ronnie Mosley, candidate for alderman in the 21st Ward, has received the coveted endorsement from Governor JB Pritzker. “I am so thankful and honored to have the support of our great governor, JB Pritzker, who has been a reliable leader for our state and a strong ally for Black people and the 21st ward,” said Mosley. “From cannabis legalization to making our school system more democratic, providing families with financial relief and pursuing smart solutions for public safety and violence prevention, I have worked with Governor Pritzker on critical issues facing Black residents in Chicago. I am pleased to have his support for our movement for safer streets, stronger resources and better opportunities in the 21st and beyond.”

From the onset, Mosley has led a popular campaign. The day of his campaign launch, Mosley announced that he had earned the support of a wide range of elected officials and community leaders, including: Ald. Howard Brookins, Jr. (21st), Ald. Michelle Harris (8th), State Sen. Jacqueline Collins, Cook County Commissioner Stanley Moore, Father Michael Pfleger, Jacky Grimshaw and MWRD Commissioner Chakena Perry.

A life-long resident of the Southside and seasoned organizer, Mosley has more than 15 years of experience working on issues like gun violence prevention, cannabis legalization, education reform, youth health, voting rights and entrepreneurship. In 2017, he co-founded Homegrown Strategy Group, a policy and organizing firm. He was also elected to the Local School Councils of Simeon Career Academy and Wendell Green Elementary, and serves on the boards of Mikva Challenge and March For Our Lives.
