Girls on the Run of Greater Cincinnati will host its 5K event on Saturday, November 19 at 8 a.m. at Yeatman’s Cove.
Girls on the Run is a physical activity-based, positive youth development program that uses fun running games and dynamic discussions to teach life skills to girls in 3rd to 8th grade. During the ten-week program, girls participate in lessons that foster confidence, build peer connections and encourage community service while they prepare for an end-of-season celebratory 5K event.
Participation in the 5K event on November 19 is open to the public and all proceeds from the event will benefit Girls on the Run of Greater Cincinnati. The event opens at 8 a.m. and the 5K start is 9 a.m. Entertainment ahead of the 5K start includes a Happy Hair station, photo backdrop, dance party, tiara making, and more. This season’s 5K will celebrate more than 800 girls completing the Fall 2022 nationally accredited program.
