“We want to welcome young families into our community and thought sharing books was a wonderful way to do that. It’s been great to partnership with The Oaks and Black Worldschoolers to bring this event to life,” said Trustee of New Bethel Dr. Eric Yancy in a statement from The Oaks Academy.
He said each of their organizations intimately understand the importance of investing in the next generation and building strong communities.
In addition to free books, Paul’s Kitchen food truck will offer burgers, grilled cheese sandwiches and chicken tenders. Local community organizations like the Edna Martin Christian Center will be onsite to connect as well.
