First Graduates Of Groves High Aivation Program Sign With Gulfstream

The Savannah-Chatham Public School System, Savannah Technical College and Gulfstream Aerospace congratulates three high school seniors in a signing ceremony for their completion of the Aircraft Maintenance and Manufacturing program at Groves High School last Wednesday, May 17, 2023. These are the first graduates of the program, which began in 2020. The Aviation Maintenance program is a four-year program housed at Robert W. Groves High School. and is made possible through a partnership with Gulfstream Aerospace Corp., Savannah Technical College and SCCPSS. Upon program acceptance, students receive courses and training from Savannah Tech instructors to earn certificates in the areas of Aircraft Assembly Technician I & II, Composite Technician and an Aircraft Structural Diploma. The certificates are received through Savannah Tech. Upon graduation, students are placed in full-time positions at Gulfstream.

After signing, these three promising students will join Gulfstream as full-time employees, and they will be able to directly apply the skills and knowledge they learned in their new roles.
