Dr. Keenya G. Mosley published her first children’s book entitled, Maya Decides to Become a Veterinarian. The book was inspired by her daughter, Dr. Jermaya R. Patterson, a newly mented veterinarian who had a very diverse adventure in her path to become a veterinarian. With merely 2.2% of veterinarians being African American and less than 2% are African American women, Dr. Mosley felt it was important to share Maya’s journey through a series of books. Dr. Mosley believes children will be what they see and increasing the number of positive images before our children and youth will enhance their exposure to a beautiful future that awaits them.

The book is available on BarnesandNoble.com, Amazon.com and Authorhousebookstore.com.
