Center PARC Credit Union teaches financial literacy during summer youth program Center Parc Credit Union (CPCU) is working to educate Savannah middle schoolers about smart money management through the Horizons Summer Camp program at Savannah Country Day School.
The summer camp began June 5 and runs to July 7. CPCU Savannah Assistant Branch Manager Alisa Cooper and CPCU Marketing Growth Specialist Regina Pointer have been working with twenty students on various financial literacy topics ranging from S.M.A.R.T. (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-bound) goal setting to budgeting. Horizons Savannah Inc. facilitate the camp, and CPCU is one of the sponsors. The program includes academic enrichment, social and emotional skills, and swimming lessons for participants. Other sponsors are United Way, Savannah Country Day, and various private donors.
