GEORGIA – Today was the first day of early voting in Georgia, and the people have spoken. More than 250,000 Georgia voters casted their ballots, breaking the previous record of 136,000 set in 2020. This isn’t just a statistic; it’s a declaration. It’s a declaration of the power that lies in our communities, a power that is harnessed through grassroots organizing and it’s a reminder that polls don’t vote. People do!

We know that true change doesn’t come from the top down, but from the bottom up. It comes from the tireless work of organizers, knocking on doors, making calls, and registering voters. It comes from the dedication of volunteers, giving their time and energy to get out the vote. It comes from the collective might of a people united in their demand for justice and equality.

Black voters are at the forefront of this movement. We are voting for an end to systemic racism and police brutality, for economic opportunities and affordable healthcare, for quality education and community safety. We are voting because we know that our lives matter, and our voices will be heard.

Make no mistake, voter suppression is still alive and well. But so is our determination. Through grassroots organizing, we are building a force that can overcome any barrier, outlast any challenge. This record is a testament to the strength of the community. It’s a testament to the fact that when we organize, when we come together, there is no power that can stand in our way. So let this be a message to those who would seek to deny us our voices: We Fight Back!
