This holiday season, Beyoncé is treating her millions of fans to an unforgettable performance! The superstar will headline the halftime show during the NFL game on Christmas Day, where the Houston Texans will face off against the Baltimore Ravens.
The announcement came Sunday night from Netflix and Beyoncé herself, making this a historic event—it’s the first NFL game Netflix will stream live. And adding to the excitement, the game will take place at NRG Stadium in Houston, Beyoncé’s hometown.
Netflix has revealed that Beyoncé’s performance will include tracks from her latest album, Cowboy Carter, and she’ll be joined onstage by surprise guests who contributed to her Grammy-nominated record. The album’s name, ‘Cowboy Carter,’ is inspired by the original Black cowboys of the American West, as stated by Beyoncé’s Parkwood Entertainment. The character of Cowboy Carter symbolizes the ‘Western fortitude’ displayed by Black cowboys.
‘Cowboy Carter’ features collaborations with artists like Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Miley Cyrus, Post Malone, and Shaboozey.
